1700's Irish-Catholics money
Germans 1st came for religious freedom, then money > Middle Colonies
Spanish came to America for gold + Silver + Enslaved natives everywhere they went, but the colonies lacked resources to grow and eventually all failed.
Cities were growing but still small.
Benjerman Franklin became the symbol of American material progress
Mercantilism from England to U.S. increased debt but Anglicized the colonies
Great Awakening Revived Religious spirit. "Hell" emphasied
Colonies took ideas of legislative assembly from England
7 years War > French lose leaving Britain an empire all over the world
