 New World Encounters 

      Chapter 1 New World Encounters. Colonize brought the benefits of civilization to the primitive and savage peoples of the North American. Several men know as the Wicomess traveled to Claiborne's on business. Susquehannock Indians were their most hated enemies. The Wicomess killed fived Susquehannock and went to the trading post and murdered three Englishmen. Governor's demanded Prisoners. Native American's felt  that the English should conform to the Customs of their Coumbtry since they were strangers there. Native American's perished the huge numbers of African slaves sold in the New World as slaves. Native Americans or Africans were passive victims of European exploitation. Indians were forced off land, killed by battles and diseases. Many died off before the settlers killed them. Portugese are 1st to get African slaves. Printing Press- speed up new ideas. Columbus led Spain to have the largest empire. France got into fur trade and spreaded Catholicism. British tested Imperialism taking over Ireland. Europe wanted Gold, Spices, spread Christianity, to use new technology.
